On March 25, the accused killed his wife, Mamohapi Mafuma, by strangling her in a fit of anger after she declared that she had a relationship with another man.

The accused was found in possession of an unlicensed 6.35mm calibre FN model 1906 semi-automatic pistol, as well as in possession of ammunition of the mentioned pistol.

The accused was employed as a debt controller for the company SA Tueb and Honing where she sent out false invoices to clients of the mentioned company which reflected indebtedness and supplied her own personal bank details on the invoices.
A total of R831 068.11 was paid into her personal account.
