VIDEO – Police barbed-wire barricade infuriates supporters

Residents of Reiger Park who turned out to support the family of Taegrin Morris expressed anger at the security arrangements in place at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Community leader Hein April, who was speaking on behalf of the community after a brief court appearance by Thamsanqa Twala, said it is not right when concerned residents are locked out of the system.

A barricade of barbed-wire fence was on Friday used to control access into the court premises, and only a few people were allowed into the courtroom.

April is also unhappy that some of the community members who came to support the Morris family were apparently manhandled, by the police on the scene.

April urged the Reiger Park community to come out in their numbers on November 14.
