Oosthuizen, Lerena, Grachev, Muller headline ‘Top Guns’
An exciting and star-studded fighting bill was recently announced for Golden Gloves’ latest 'Top Guns' boxing tournament to be held at Emperors Palace on Saturday, November 15.
Top Guns will feature four bouts and will see the return of Thomas ‘Tommy Gun’ Oosthuizen to the casino’s infamous Centre Court, as he makes his light heavyweight debut for the WBC International Light Heavyweight Title 12-round showdown against Russia’s Denis Grachev.
Furthermore, the night’s supporting main event will see Johnny ‘The Hurricane’ Muller face off against blockbusting Kevin ‘KO Kid’ Lerena in their 10-round cruiserweight collision.
“When Johnny turned pro as a heavyweight, he looked out of shape,” said trainer and former boxer, Harold Volbrecht.

“Congratulations to Johnny, this is the first time he makes the wait limit for a fight,” joked Volbrecht.
Asked why Muller’s camp accepted the fight, Volbrecht added that it’s what the public want to see.
In the night’s second title clash, world honours will once again beckon when Ali Funeka takes on Roman Balaev for the vacant IBO Welterweight Title. The Russian is the current IBF Youth Welterweight and WBA Continental Welterweight champion, and sports an impressive ten KOs in 14 outings with no losses. – @SabeloBoksburg
