EFC stars warm-up for the big one

Carnival City hosted an open workout for EFC Africa athletes on Saturday, August 2, ahead of the EFC 32 event, which will feature some mouth-watering match-ups.

EFC 32 takes place at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on Thursday, August 7.

Stars who led the line-up to show off their skills included local fighters JP Kruger and Barend “BB Gun” Nienaber, who will face-off against Boyd Allen for the vacant featherweight title in a bout labelled as the potential ‘Fight of the Year’.

Allen, Adam Speechly and Elvis Moyo were also in attendance.

The workout session however, served to intensify the build-up to the highly-anticipated showdown between Nienaber and Allen, whose face-off concluded the event.

Both fighters also exchanged final words before they meet again in the hexagon.

“I’m looking forward to the fight, I’ve trained hard and I’m going to react accordingly,” said Allen. -@SabeloBoksburg
