Rock ‘n race at The Rock

The Liqui Moly Race of Champions gets under way at the renowned Rock Raceway on Saturday, August 16.

Gates open at noon with racing action set for a 4pm start.

Drivers will be taking on the similar daunting gauntlet set out at the European Race of Champions edition with the circuit set to feature a tricky bridge.

The Nascar style replica will have a variety of well-known South African racing drivers behind the wheel, as well as one of the country’s top Afrikaans musicians, Nicholis Louw, in his Liqui Moly Chev number 16 race car.

Louw will also be performing along co-star singer Ray Dylan; they’ll be sharing the stage with local band Saving Silence to give the event its rock ’n roll flavour.

A lucky draw will also be held on the day where one fortunate spectator will win R1 000.

This is one event that “Rockers” won’t want to miss.
