Karate Academy claims 22 gold at interclub championships
Sunward Park’s Goju Karate Academy amassed 89 medals to win the recently held friendly inter-club championships meeting at the Brakpan Indoor Centre.
The Academy was declared the overall tournament winner for collecting the most medals.
The Academy’s 66 athletes who featured at the meeting won 22 gold, 25 silver and 42 bronze medals.
A total of 12 clubs were represented at the championships, with more than 200 athletes competing. -@SabeloBoksburg
