* Simon Marutla (31) and Simon Lemapo (29), from Jerusalem informal settlement, appeared on four charges of aggravated robbery.
They pleaded not-guilty on December 3, 2012, were found guilty and sentenced on July 30, to 15 years imprisonment on the first three counts and seven years on the last count.
On July 21, 2009, the men assaulted and robbed three different men and stole various items from them.
On December 31, 2011, they assaulted and robbed another man and stole jewellery.
The suspects were linked to the crimes by fingerprints.
Marutla had a previous conviction of possession of suspected stolen property from 2010.
Magistrate Ramufhufhi presided over the matter, and Nokosazana Tyeku and Jabu Matha appeared on behalf of the State.
*Sarah Silinza (28), from Malvern, appeared in court on two charges of theft.
She pleaded not-guilty on April 29, was found guilty on May 9 and sentenced on July 28, to 12 months imprisonment.
Between September and December 2013 the accused stole R30 000 worth of jewellery, food, DVDs and a tablecloth from Jeanette Britts.
Magistrate Ryan van Harte presided over the matter, and Busi Mafokeng appeared on behalf of the State.
* Andre Goliath (40) appeared in court on a charge of house break-in with the intent to steal.
He pleaded not-guilty on June 18, was found guilty and sentenced on August 1, to six years imprisonment of which two years are suspended for five years.
On February 15 the accused broke into the premises of Mokgale Madlakazila and stole a television and two bicycles.
He had previous convictions of a house break-in in 1990, and three charges of house break-in in 1991.
Magistrate Abel Shilubane presided over the matter, and Maria Olivier appeared on behalf of the State.
* Kgothatso Maidi (24), from Witbank, appeared in court on a charge of house break-in and robbery.
He pleaded guilty, was found guilty and sentenced on July 9, to 15 years imprisonment.
On May 31, 2013, the accused assaulted Brenda Skitte and stole two televisions, a playstation, three laptops, three cellphones, shoes and clothes.
He had a previous conviction for house break-in in 2013.
