Roos boots Valke to victory
The U-18 local side began their Coca-Cola Cravenweek campaign in fantastic fashion with a 30-24 win over Boland on Tuesday, 15 July in Middelburg.
Half-time score was 17-14 to the Valke.
Jimmy Mpailane, Marco Jansen van Vuuren and Martin van Wyk crossed the line for the local side. Flyhalf Forrest Roos converted all three.
Boland outscored the Valke with all of Adriaan de Waal, Andre Gouws, Conal Brown and Earll Douwrie dotting down, but three penalties by Roos steered the home team to victory.
The Valke is plying otday Thursday) against the Leopards.
