Reiger Park celebrates Youth Day

A Reiger Park-based youth group, named “God’s Anointed New Generation” (Gang), hosted a Youth Day celebration outside the Reiger Park Civic Centre, on June 16.

The day was celebrated with performances by local drum majorettes, and included sporting activities.

Various speakers also addressed the youth.

“We want to raise the morale of our community, especially that of our youth, and to enhance their lifestyle; as pastors and leaders, we will never give up on our next generation,” says one of the organisers, Romeo Appies.

Appies acknowledged the battle against drugs in the township.

Youth Day was also a celebration of sporting skills.
