Social workers, teachers, therapists, the media liaison officer, as well as children between the ages of three and six represented the centre with this initiative.

According to social worker, Thuli Mbatha, their focus was to send a strong message against the exploitation of children.

“We made a banner and people were pledging by signing their messages on child abuse.”

Mbatha says approximately 40 people signed the banner during the one hour.

Each person who signed the banner received a green ribbon which symbolises their support and care towards children who have been abused and survived, as well as those who did not survive.

“Child abuse and exploitation must come to an end,” says Mbatha. – @IschkeBoksburg
