Little firemen in training

Every little boy will at least, once in his lifetime, reach a stage where he would want to become a policeman, fireman or doctor when he grows up.

Every year CBC Boksburg pre-school focuses on the theme “People in the community who help us”.

To make the teaching more interesting, the school invited people in certain professions to tell the boys more about what they do and the importance of their job.

ER 24 medics and firemen visited the school to show-and-tell what their profession is about on Friday, June 6.

This also gave the boys the opportunity to have a closer look at what ambulances and firetrucks look like.

The boys were very enthusiastic and participated with great interest by asking many questions.

For two weeks, 104 pre-school boys got to learn more about different professions they show interest in at their tender age.

According to one of the teachers, Natalie dos Passos, they try to focus on professions that pre-school boys relate to in their little word, like being a dentist, policeman or fireman.

For one day the boys also had the opportunity to dress up like what they would want to be one day and a majority of boys were dressed like firemen and policemen. – @IschkeBoksburg
