Calling all plus size women for an evening of fun
All ladies who class themselves as being "plus size" are invited to attend the opening night of a plus size category and campaign by the Younique Model Academy on Monday, June 2, from 6pm to 7pm, at the Freeway Park Primary School

According to the partial coordinator Dabney Ferreira, the event is open to the public and is a combined initiative to create awareness that the body of modelling no longer has ideals.
“Ladies spend too much time criticising their bodies and just generally lacking confidence,” she adds.
Ferreira says the creator and director of the Younique Modeling Academy, Cecilia Marie van Eeden, came about with the idea of Mission Plus Size to create a haven of self-confidence, morality and diversity.
“Mission Plus Size is all about realising diversity and appreciating beauty in all its forms. The initiative will focus on health and fitness as well, because being ‘plus size’ does not have to mean being unhealthy,” she explains.
She feels that the media is over-run by negativity and an event like this may bring a few smiles.
“The campaign is not all about the make-up and clothing. As of June 2, Younique will be filled with young ladies of all shapes and sizes.”
Younique Modeling Academy is a modeling school for women of all ages.
