Midvaal mayor to address public meeting
The DA Boksburg Constituency will host the DA mayor of Midvaal, Clr Bongani Baloyi, at a public meeting on Thursday, April 24.
Cliff Patterson, the local DA PR councillor from Boksburg, says Baloyi is a young and charismatic leader with great insight and a firm belief in the opportunities that will be created through party policies.
“He will share what he calls the Midvaal miracle, where that municipality’s Job Strategies Implementation Programme led to them being the only area in the whole of Gauteng that showed positive employment statistics over the last five years.”
Constituency head and a former MP, Janet Semple, will along with Patterson, host the event.
The DA’s other Boksburg councillors, Benno Robinson, Johan Hendricks, Charlie Crawford, Bruce Reid, Gcinumuzilo Mtshali, Hilary Coke and Andre du Plessis will also be in attendance to address any queries voters may have and any matters relating to the upcoming elections to be held on May 7.
The meeting will be held at 6pm for 6.30pm at the School of Achievement, corner Bloemhof Street and Heidelberg Road.
