
* Lehlohonolo Mokoena (31), from Vosloorus, appeared in court for dealing in undesirable dependence producing substances.
The accused pleaded guilty, was found guilty and sentenced, on March 13, to three years imprisonment, of which 18 months was suspended for five years.
He is a merchandiser for Checkers, as well as a marketing student.
On November 8, 2013, the accused was found in possession of 15 units (0.81g) of heroin.
He stated that this was the first time he was selling drugs, and that he was doing it only to maintain his children.

* Murphy Majola (27), from Vosloorus, appeared in court on a charge of dealing in dangerous dependence producing substances and undesirable substances.
He pleaded guilty, was found guilty and sentenced, on March 13, to three years imprisonment, of which 18 months was suspended for five years.
On November 9, 2013, the accused was found in possession of 16 units of cocaine (1.65g), and five units of heroin (0.28g).
The accused is unemployed and said he sold the drugs to support his girlfriend, who is six months pregnant.

* Rethabele Mpale (21), from Vosloorus, appeared in court on a charge of robbery.
The accused pleaded guilty, was found guilty and sentenced, on March 13, to three years imprisonment, of which one year was suspended for five years.
The accused is a Grade Nine learner.
On February 15, he assaulted Conright Mhlongo, by tripping him, and stole three cellphones, a wallet containing R580 and a credit card.

*Thokozane Magudulela (23), from Dawn Park, appeared in court on a charge of rape.
He pleaded not guilty on March 11, was found guilty and sentenced, on March 17, to life imprisonment.
The accused recently raped his ex-girlfriend.
He went to her house, where, he said, he was to talk to her. The woman’s boyfriend then ran to call her aunt.
The accused took the woman to his cousin’s house, where she informed the cousin that the accused wanted to have sex with her. The cousin stated that he did not want to get involved.
The accused then raped the woman and locked her in the house, and raped her again the next morning.
