Valke give back to community
Members of the Valke rugby side took some time off the pitch to support a blood drive hosted by Pat Hinde Toyota in Boksburg, on Wednesday, March 12.
“This is a community service initiative which we do quite often here at the dealership,” said the dealership’s sales executive, Schalk Pretorius.
“Having the Valke helping out with donating their blood is very good and helpful to the community.”
Valke coach, Johan du Toit echoed Pretorius’ sentiments.
“We see this as a community project, and as such, the guys thought that donating their blood was a very important thing to do.
“We want to get ourselves involved in the community as much as possible and this is one example.”
The Valke host the Leopards XV next in the Vodacom Cup at Kempton Park’s Barnard Stadium on Saturday.
