Fransiscan Matric Project’s recognition for outstanding performance

The Fransiscan Matric Project, based in Reiger Park, has received recognition for outstanding performance for two consecutive years.

The awards are based on their 2013 performance.

The Project was awarded the top performing subsided Independent School at the Gauteng Department of Education Award Ceremony, held in January.

This award recognises the schools outstanding performance in the 2013 National Senior Certificate exams.

At the Ekurhuleni South District Award Ceremony held on January 27, the Project was also awarded the award for being the top independent school in the district.

Two of its students, Nomzamo Wongo and Patrick Ntau, also received awards.

Wongo achieved the top mark in Afrikaans Second Additional Language in the Ekurhuleni District, and Ntau obtained the top mark for Sesotho First Additional Language.
