A once in a lifetime performance at Carnival City

More than 40 top local artists will perform in the Afrikaans music star-studded Afriganza show on Saturday, March 8, at the Carnival City Big Top Arena

The line-up is headed by Kurt Darren, Anton Goosen, Gerhard Steyn, Anais and Andre Swiegers.

Kurt needs no introduction, and for those who have never seen him perform, this multi-award winning singer, TV presenter and actor is at the top of his game with new songs from his recent album Seerower.

Musician, singer and songwriter, Anton Goosen is generally regarded as the father of Afrikaans rock, and a pivotal figure in Afrikaans music.

Gerhard Steyn has also long ago made his mark on the Afrikaans music industry since his first hit Baby Tjoklits. Combined with his acting career on television, Gerhard is a household name.

Anais is a vibrant singer with a powerful, yet warm voice. Her music could be described as acoustic rock which she describes as “music with feel”.

Formerly known as Squire Blue, Andre Swiegers has enjoyed success both as a singer and as a songwriter. His songs have been recorded by artists such as Laurika Rauch, Juanita du Plessis, Theuns Jordaan and Coleske.

Among Andre’s best-known songs are Eva, Blou, Doncella and Eiland. His latest album Ghost Train was released last year.
