The ANCYL congratulated all those who have passed their National Certificate examinations.
According to Dr Bandile Masuku, ANCYL national spokesperson, they also support the call for stopping the public listing of names of those who have passed matriculation examinations.
“It is said that the publishing of the pupils names is no longer a symbol of accomplishment, but just another key milestone in life that can be acknowledge by the school, family and the person involved without having to go all the way to the newspapers.
“Moreover ANCYL urges all those who have qualified to be admitted to colleges and varsities to touch base with their offices of the ANC Youth League, SASCO and YCLSA on arrival.
“We want to send correspondence to all their tertiary institution branches instructing them to put in place Orientation Programmes so that all new students are comfortably integrated into the life of the various institutions of higher education.
“The outcome of these positive matric results boosts the confidence for the democratic governments to resolve and improve the standard of education for all South Africans.
“The ANCYL regarded these high matric results to be the direct outcome of the ANC’s prioritisation of education over the past five years.
