Season opens with Rockmania at The Rock Raceway

The Rock Raceway will blow open 2014 as the venue will once again play host to the annual Rockmania Event for the new season.

The hustle and bustle of the busy petrol heads will once again shine at the renowned Rock Raceway Circuit in Brakpan on Saturday, January 18, as competitors, sponsors and patrons alike, converge for the all-in-one Rockmania event.

According to a statement from the The Raceway, this is when you get more than you have bargained for all in one event.

“This should be the benchmark for motorsport fans that religiously follow the International Drifting, V8 Outlaw Sprints, Oval Racing, Street Drags, plus a mindblowing stunt to top it all off.

“The Hotfoot Brigade and various disciplines at this well-known venue will continue the hype of speed demons alive as they eagerly re-energize their spirit for the need for speed petrol heads.”

With chariots prepared for battle in the forthcoming days, the creaky hinges of the pit gates will once again open and expose the gauntlet set before the tyre squealers, leaving them with no other choice but to unleash their wrought of speed.

Sideways mayhem bordering the boundaries of fate to the delight of the many hungry adrenalin junkies who constantly relish in the action set out before them.

Drifters from various parts of the region will be gunning for the clipping points in a showdown of slideways bliss.

Rockmania is an all-in-one event where The Rock hosts all circuit events in one day. The raceway has hosted this event several times and it now hosts it at least three times a year, much to its success.

It hosts drifting, hotrods and drags on the day; with the crowd getting an opportunity to witness every race in the comfort of the grandstand.
