Goju Karate Academy caps-off successful 2013
The Goju Karate Academy, in Sunward Park, held their annual prize-giving ceremony on Thursday evening, November 28.
The academy won an astonishing 276 medals during the year, after participating in various local events and six international tournaments.
The international tournaments took place in Russia, in April, Namibia (June), Greece (July), Tunisia (August), England and Canada (both in October).
Local events included inter-club tournaments, inter-school tournaments, and regional and provincial championships.
In addition, the academy boasted with 23 of its students in the Ekurhuleni team, 13 in the Gauteng team and four in the national side.
