Boksburg slump to defeat against Spurs
Lafras Moolman and Imraan Manack scored a combined 132 to hand Actonville Spurs a convincing six-wicket triumph over Boksburg Cricket Club in their Premier League encounter on Sunday, November 24.

Spurs opener Ahmed Saloogee hit 32 before Manacks’s 65 not-out and Moolman’s unbeaten 67 put the hosts in a commanding position before clinching the thriller at the Lords Cricket Ground.
Boksburg won the pre-match coin toss and were sent to bat first.
The away-side got off to a flying start with top-order batsman John Haywood smashing his team’s high score of 72, before an additional 10 from fellow top orders Len Meyer (7) and Louis Grobler (3) set a foundation for a potential win, which would have also broken the away-side’s losing streak.
Ruan du Plessis carried over his momentum behind the bat from his team’s previous encounter against Duduza, and scored an additional 44 preceding Pierre van Blerk’s 27 and Freddy Whitehorn’s 18.
The dismissal of Boksburg’s middle order seemed to ignite a collapse at the tail-end side with all of Harry Meyer Jnr, Willem Kruger and JP van Staden falling for zero, to leave the visitors’ hopes pinned on the remaining two wickets for more runs.
With one wicket left after an additional 11 runs, Harry Meyer Snr became the fourth player to be dismissed for zero leaving Boksburg with 200 from 46.3 overs.
Spurs’ chase began in mild fashion with Saloogee’s opening 32 preceding a duck exit for Lionel Singh.
The introduction of Manack in the crease, however, swiftly resteadied the Spurs ship, with the top-order batsman walloping an unbeaten 65 to put his side well on course for a home victory.
Duck dismissals appeared to be a good omen for the homeside with Moolman’s 67 coming after Yash Mehta’s zero. This came after Manack’s 65 followed Singh’s zero.
Spurs completed the chase with 203 runs after 39.4 overs.
