Emperors Palace about to explode with top boxing

The boxing year ends with a bang at Emperors Palace on Saturday, November 9, when two of South Africa’s top boxers defend their titles against an Argentinian invasion.

IBO Super Middleweight world champion, Thomas “Tommy Gun” Oosthuizen, will take on Argentinian Ezequiel Maderna, in what will be his seventh title defence.

IBO Strawweight world champion Hekkie “The Hexecutioner” Budler will be in action against Argentinean Hugo Verchelli.

The fight will not only be for The Hex’s title, but also as a unification fight for the WBA Interim Strawweight world title.

The Fighting Force Boxing Tournament will begin at 7.30pm at the Palace’s Centre Court in the Convention Centre.
