Louie Vega releases Eclipse – A Deeper Message
Producer, songwriter, label owner, composer, Grammy-award winner and four-time Grammy-nominee for best DJ, Louie Vega, is still at the top of his game.
This multi-talented musician is one of the latest hot international talents to join the Kalawa Jazmee Records stable.
His new album, Elements of Life: Eclipse, is set to be released by Universal Music South Africa.
Vega’s new album from his orchestral project, Elements Of Life, is a two-disc album that features 17 tracks on the first disc, that incorporates an enriching mix of Afrobeat, Jazz, Latin, R&B, Gospel, Soul, Blues, and World Music, all produced by Vega himself.
The second CD has remixes of the first disc, featuring songs by Anane Vega, Josh Milan, Lisa Fischer and Cindy Mizelle, as well as longer, unreleased versions of tracks.
It also features fresh tracks recorded by the Elements of Life Ensemble and a remix by Uhuru of the South Africa smash hit, “London Roots”, featuring Johnny Dangerous.
The sensational Louie Vega is clearly impossible to pin down and irreplaceable to the music scene which he has helped shaped for over 21 years.
He has been described as the “DJ’s DJ”, as he has influenced and inspired countless other producers and artists, from today’s popular demand to those still finding their way out of the garage.
