The day was first introduced in 1990 by the United Nations and encourages organisations to strengthen the improvement of innovation, growth and sustainability.

The theme for World Quality Day this year is “Making Collaboration Count”, and has been designed to reflect the importance of collaborating with colleagues, departments and partner organisations, in order to achieve success.
