No more bee hives

Impala Park resident, Ehlers Oc’Onnel saved the day as he removed and destroyed a bee hive that was inside one of the municipal water meters on Schackelton Street.

According to CPF Sector 1 chairperson, Denise Curry, the residents in the area had made requests to the municipality to sort the problem, but after waiting a long time with no response, Oc’Onnel took matters into his own hands.

“Oc’Onnel has experience in handling bees, thus, he had the confidence to take care of the situation.

“Dressed in and armed with all the necessary equipment, Oc’Onnel destroyed this huge bee hive and made the area safer for the residents,” says Curry.

She adds that a resident who was witness to the bee hive removal, spread the word of this via the CPF Community WhatsApp discussion group.

Curry challenges more residents to get actively involved in making a difference.
