Art Fair well supported
Walking into The Clan Interiors on October 26, one could have easily mistook the store for an art studio, as the shop was filled with old and new paintings donated by members of the community, which were displayed at an art fair during the weekend.
Artists and art lovers were urged to either donate paintings or buy artwork.
“We got the idea from an art fair held in another province that was very successful in raising funds, and we thought that could perhaps work here as well,” says Brenda Kriel from The Clan Interiors.
“We even got a painting from renowned artist, Barry de Villiers.”
All proceeds from the sale will go towards Hospice East Rand.
