Kayla makes it a hat-trick of world titles
Kayla Venter won gold to make it a hat-trick of world titles at the World Bow Hunter Championships in Potchefstroom, held from Wednesday, October 2, to Saturday, October 5.

The Grade 6 Laerskool Westwood student who competed in the cubs division (u/ 12) finished the four-day tournament with a remarkable 212-point over her closest rival after scoring a points total in days one, three and four.
Kayla scored 560 points out of a possible 560 on Wednesday, and emulated her impressive feat on Friday and Saturday, with Thursday proving to be her trickiest outing where she managed to score 535/560.
She won her first world crown at the World Indoor Championships, which were held in Pretoria exactly two years ago in October 2011; and her second world crown came the following year in 2012, when she won gold at the World Field Championships in Argentina.
Kayla also holds four national and world records, namely field record (558/560); hunter record (560/560), animal record (560/560), and the world indoor record of 300 with 59Xs out of a possible 60.
