Members of the South African National Blood Services (SANBS) will be at the church from 9.30am until 2pm.

Donated blood is the only thing that can help to save cancer patients, premature babies and others who need transfusions to live.

In less than an hour you can become a hero to people you will never meet, but whose lives you will change forever.

To be eligible to donate blood you must:

* Weigh 50kg or more.

* Be 16 years and older.

* Lead a sexually safe lifestyle.

* Have eaten at least four hours before.
