Get involved in fighting crime

The Impala Park Community Policing Forum (CPF) calls on residents to become actively involved in fighting crime in the area by reporting any suspicious activities or behaviour.

Under the management of the CPF sector one deputy chairperson, Denise Curry, and the head of CPF Impala Park patrollers, Terence Sinclair, a few residents of Impala Park started the Impala Park CPF Patrollers initiative in March 2013.

“As a result of our vigilant approach to crime in the area and the involvement of the CPF members who have been patrolling Impala Park and Witkoppie Ridge, crimes such as house break-ins, hijackings, theft-out-of-vehicle, drug dealings and many other suspicious activities have drastically decreased,” says Curry.

“We can only make a difference through the involvement of the community and if we all work together, we will succeed in making our community a safe environment.”

The CPF is also in need of more patrollers to participate in the initiative.

Denise Curry, Terence Sinclair and the patrollers are calling on all residents to report any suspicious activities and behaviour via SMS to 082 88 99 260 or email wecare@impalapark.co.za.
