According to Capt Charles Tshabalala, spokesperson for Dawn Park Police Station, a man was killed when a fight broke out in a Windmill Park tavern in the early hours of Saturday morning, August 31.
“It is alleged that at 2.30am, two groups of men from Lesotho started beating each other with wooden sticks. One man was killed and two suspects sustained serious injuries,” he says.
Tshabalala says the two suspects, who were hospitalised, were charged with murder and made an appearance in court on Monday, September 2.
