Tommy Gun facing November date
After a couple of weeks of battling with flu, Boksburg-bred Thomas Oosthuizen is back in the gym training.
He could possibly be in the ring again in November against an opponent yet to be confirmed.
There was a possibility that the IBO super middleweight champion would fight in October on the undercard of the Alexandra Povetkin versus Wladimir Klitchko heavyweight bout in Moscow.
The flu, however, meant that the lanky southpaw would not be ready to battle it out in Russia.
Oosthuizen will be looking to get back in to top form after a less than impressive performance in his last fight against Brandon Gonzales.
Although he did not do well in that drawn fight, top fighters around the world seem more interested in fighting the fighter known as Tommy Gun.
There was talk of world number one Andre Ward being in the mix of potential opponents recently.
It is clear that the slick fighter is regarded as one of the best in the world.
He has been ranked amongst the top 10 super middleweights in the world for a while now.
