The Imbizo programme is scheduled to take place on Wednesday and Thursday, August 14 and 15 respectively at 5pm.
According to mayoral spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini, members of the executive committee including MMC Phelisa Nkunjane, are ready to give the community a report on what the local authority had promised to deliver in the past five months.
This comes after residents had raised various issues during the first round of Imbizo held earlier this year in February.
Dlamini says the municipality has delivered on many of the essential service delivery concerns community members had raised at the first Imbizo.
“During the meets, the city will also speak to the challenges at hand and its plans to deal with them.
“We call on people to come in their numbers to be able to bring their government to account but also to hear how the government machinery has responded to their needs,” says Dlamini.
“As government, we have a mandate to account to our residents and we can only do that if people attend the Imbizo.”
