Tea aids Life Link Pregnancy Crisis Centre

The Life Link Pregnancy Crisis Centre Charity Tea event was hosted at the NG Church in Boksburg Park, Libradene on Saturday, August 10.

The event was attended by an estimated 120 guests.

Organiser of event, Este Trytsman, says R8 000 was raised on the day.

This makes a total of R30 000 raised for Life Link through charity events this year.

Sharon Rushton, founder of Life Link, say they are very excited about the funding raised, because it will enable them to provide all their services free of charge to their clients.

Image and style consultant, as well as wife to pop idol Heinz Winckler, Alette Winckler, gave the audience a presentation on the importance of image.

“So many people wear black and white, and have been wearing the same outfit since 1992, so try something new,” she said.

Her husband Heinz, had the audience on their feet, with sing-a-longs such as Jy gee my butterflies.

He applauded Life Link for the amazing job they are doing, and encouraged the audience to play their part.

“There are a lot of wrong things to fight against in this world. People don’t know who they are and whose they are. If we can change ourselves, then we can change others,” he said.

Life Link is a registered non-profit organisation that provides a range of services to women facing an unplanned pregnancy while providing positive alternatives to abortion.
