Meet your new Boksburg SAPS spokesman

Lieut-Col Mathanda Ngobese (51), also known as Malume, has been appointed as the new communication officer for the Boksburg SAPS.

His goals as a policeman include crime reduction in Boksburg, and he encourages members of the public to partner with the police in the fight against crime, by assisting officers with information and tip-offs.

Ngobese has been a member of the Boksburg SAPS for more than two decades, and has served in many different departments of the station.

Throughout his tenure, Ngobese has gained vast experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders of the police station, as well as other Boksburg law enforcement agencies.

He was born in Enkandla and matriculated at Impande High School in eShowe.

The new communication officer holds a national diploma in policing from Technicon SA.

His role encompasses a range of corporate activities, including answering queries from the media, stakeholders or other organisations.

This also includes utilising many facets of the media to establish and maintain the reputation of the station, as well as establishing and maintaining lines of communication between the station and its clients.
