Training camp for fighters a success

Our recent trip to Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand, was as always an awesome experience, says coach Raymond Phillips.

Phillips and top fighter and mixed martial artist, JP Kruger, recently went to train in Thailand.

This trip was mainly to help Kruger prepare for his upcoming fight at EFC 22 against Tumelo Maphutha.

“We were privilege to have veteran and seasoned fighters like Brian Ebersole, a long time friend of XKT (Xtreme Kickboxing Technologies) and Roger Huerta helping us prepare.

“We have a great team to help us. Our local team consisting of, director James Read from XKT and BJJ Head Coach Jurgen Pitter from Rio Grappling,” says Phillips.

Fighters need their team to get to the top, and he adds that he is thankful for these coaches and managers for all their endless effort and help.

XKT will have three fighters competing in EFC 22, Cedric Doil, Chimmy van Winkel and Kruger who will also be the main fight of the evening.

“We are ready and we will do what we have to do,” says Phillips.

“We are fighters (the team), and we don’t predict fights, but we are confident that our fighters are prepared to give their all. We go by the motto of Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all things through Jesus the Christ who strengthens me’.”
