SPCA find remains of five cats and other animals
The remains of five cats, a goat and cattle horns were found on a vacant plot of land in Sunward Park.

The area was apparently occupied by a vagrant, who has not yet been located.
“The SPCA is appalled by the horrific scene,” says Boksburg SPCA manager Wilma Steynbergh.
One of the cats had a micro-chip implant and, therefore, the details of the owner are available to the SPCA, but, the owner could not be located.
It is also possible that some of the cats could have been feral.
The remaining four cats are described as follows:
* one tortoiseshell and white cat;
* one grey tabby and white cat;
*one black and white cat.
* The colour of the fourth cat is difficult to establish, but it might have been grey.
According to Steynbergh, it is not possible to determine the gender of the cats.
Possible owners of the missing cats, who maybe want closure, can contact the Boksburg SPCA on 011 016 5906 for more information.
The case is being investigated.
The Boksburg SPCA appeals to the public for any information that can assist in locating the individual responsible and, furthermore, notes that the public should not panic, but rather be alert to strangers who look suspicious.
* Due to the sensitive nature, and the fact that some of these cats might have been beloved pets, visuals of the cats will not be placed with the article.
