Boksburg Rugby Club’s first side saw their chances of qualifying for the Predator League semi-finals being blown away, last Saturday, July 27.

They lost 40-19 to Raiders in away match.

The Owls’ performance against Raiders was characterised by too many mistakes.

“We had missed tackles and too many handling errors,” says chairman Sean Scheepers.

Boksburg scored one try through Theo Rhodes, while Ashley Buchler kicked over one conversion and four penalties.

The second side lost a close match 31-26, but the third were impressive as they blasted their opponents 39-3. They remain on course for a play-off spot.

Boksburg’s u-21 side lost 25-16.

Tries by Clayton Gindan and Stoffel Buitendagh were not enough to earn victory for The Owls and the u-19 team lost 27-7.
