The Boksburg North police are appealing to the community to assist them with information that could lead to the arrest of the pair.

The Boksburg North police are looking for two men who allegedly stole items worth R100 650 from an elderly couple’s home in Witfield.

The incident took place just after noon on March 20.

According to Boksburg North police spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, while a 63-year-old man and his wife were waiting for their electrical gate to close before they leave their house, they were accosted by two men.

“The two men pointed their firearms at the couple as they demanded money and cellphones.

“They were ordered back inside their house where the men took an HP laptop, a 47-inch LCD television, diamond rings, bag full of clothes, shoes, sound system, DVD machines and money,” said Ramaube.

The men then loaded the items inside the couple’s vehicles and they forcefully ordered the couple to drop them in a nearby field where they disappeared with the items.

No one was injured during the robbery.

A case of house robbery has been opened at the Boksburg North Police Station.
