Narcotics found on 57-year-old man in Reiger Park

The suspect was escorted to Reiger Park police station and charged with possession of and intending to trade in illicit substances

EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit officers apprehended a male suspect in the Reiger Park area during a crime-prevention operation on March 19.

Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson, said the suspect was found with narcotics.

“At 5pm, on Stork Street, the DEU team body searched a 57-year-old and 19 ziplocks of khat, 16 half Mandrax tablets, 22 knotted papers and one bag containing dagga, valued at R6 500, were seized.”
