Robbers strike local Pep store again

The police are investigating a case of business robbery and investigations continue.

The Pep store in Cason Road has previously been under attack numerous times where cash and other items have been stolen.

Again, on March 17, the store was robbed of cellphones worth about R25 000 and an undisclosed amount of money.

The Boksburg North police spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, said a 34-year-old victim alleged that two men entered the store while she was assisting a few customers who were still inside the store when they were about to close the store.

“One of the men pulled out a gun and told everyone in the store to lie down. The second suspect allegedly instructed the till operator to open the cash tills.

“The men then proceeded to the safe and took out cellphones that are worth about R25 000. Suspects then fled the scene.”
