A local high school girl claims that she was on February 26 raped by the driver of a minibus transporting her and other learners to and from their respective schools in Boksburg.
According to the police report, the learner and other schoolmates were sitting in the kombi parked outside the school when the driver asked the other learners, except the victim, to alight as he wanted to first go and fetch some students from a nearby college.
He left the school with the victim, before he allegedly along the way pulled over, confronted the learner and raped her in the taxi.
Police have registered a case of rape and the suspect has been arrested and charged accordingly.
Investigations continue.
