Some great fitness tips to keep you in shape and healthy
The Advertiser has come up with an initiative to get Boksburg’s professionals in the fitness industry on board to give a few tips on a regular basis regarding anything and everything fitness.
Following a conduction of a survey by the Advertiser at the end of last year, the local newspaper learnt its community is more than ever still interested in keeping fit, whether to gain muscle or shed a few kilos.
With two athletes already on board (this is expected to change in the upcoming weeks with more athletes expected to join), namely Rudolf Koen (bodybuilder/personal trainer) and Penny Wilbers (fitness model/personal trainer), the plan is to use one athlete per week to share their tips to help the Boksburg public to reach their fitness goals.
Taking the good old cliché of ladies first into consideration, the first athlete the Advertiser has chosen to use for the first edition of its fitness tips section is multiple stage champion Wilbers.
Penny’s tips
• First and foremost, the essential part of any exercise or fitness regime is diet, diet, diet. Without a good eating plan, any amount of exercise will go to waste.
• Make exercise part of your daily routine like eating breakfast, like doing your hair, like taking a shower: it should become a regular. With perseverance, one will see results.
• Correct form in exercising is vital: take the time, make the effort and invest in yourself by having a couple of sessions with a personal trainer to show you the correct form. It’s beneficial and very important.
Next edition of fitness tips will be from Koen.
