Parkdene Primary hosts fun colour run

The school is planning on making the colour run/fun walk an annual event.

Parkdene Primary School hosted their first colour run on November 16, an event that saw families enjoy a fun day at the Boksburg Stadium.

Colour was thrown at individuals as they ran or walked past colour stations along the route.

Approximately 1 482 participated in this event which was open to the public.

Harm Venter, organiser of the event, described the day as a huge success.

“The children enjoyed the day and it was inspiring to see a lady in a wheelchair finish the entire course,” said Venter.

“A big thanks to those who supported and contributed to the success of the event.”

He also thanked Ixiom, Deans Stationers, Steel & Pipe, Phakisa Holdings, Aida Real Estate, School and leisure and Kingsley.
