The Dawn Park police are investigating a murder case after a Villa Liza man was brutally assaulted by the community on November 17.
According to Const Nkemeleng Mabula, Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson, the police first registered a case of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, but now it has been changed to a murder case.
This comes after the police received a complaint of mob justice around 2.30pm at Ulundi in Villa Liza.

The police found the victim in an open field with multiple injuries all over his body.
According to the police the man seemed as if he was brutally beaten.
An ambulance was called and he was taken to Thelle Mogoerane Hospital.
No suspects have been arrested so far.
Mabula confirmed that the victim died in hospital.
