Water levels are back to normal after residents dug trenches to the sewage drains in order to drain water following a burst pipe in Limbahout Road on July 30.
Allegedly, construction workers hit a water pipe on Tuesday, while laying fibre cables.
Water levels then rose during the night as the drain in the street is blocked.
A few houses were underwater and approximately four cars were damaged by Wednesday afternoon.

Some residents also had to miss a day at work as the water was too deep to drive through.
“The water levels were never this high before. It was shocking,” said Louise Dalton.
“It was mostly the residents who tried to drain the water that day. My neighbours dug trenches to the sewage drains to help it drain quicker. The water was back to normal that night.
“We’ve been struggling with this drain for a few years now and it needs to be fixed. According to my neighbour, who is at home the whole day, the municipality wasn’t here to inspect the drain yet.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen to the drain now, but I hope it gets fixed.”
She added that she doesn’t know the name of the company whose workers allegedly hit the water pipe.
Gerrie Hattum, another resident, said he was left without electricity for about week after the incident.
“My electricity problems were caused by the burst pipe as the water damaged a cable. However, I would’ve had the same problems if it started raining as the drain is blocked and the water levels would still be high enough to damage the cables.
“The drain is a major problem,” said Hattum.
“My electricity is now restored as the municipality came up with a temporary solution. They are in the process of finding a permanent solution.”
