Boksburg Child Welfare reaches out for urgent support

"As the Child Welfare, we advocate on behalf of the children who have been abused, neglected, abandoned or orphaned."

The Boksburg Child Welfare is urgently in need of donations to ensure that vulnerable children in Boksburg are taken care of.

“Boksburg, Vosloorus and Reiger Park Child Welfare are in need of baby clothes, blankets, diapers, formula, blankets and other necessities,” said Vanessa Naidoo-Pillay, director of the Boksburg Child Welfare.

“We will accept any donation. Even something small can make a big difference. Cash donations are also welcome.

“We had a number of people coming through this season asking for blankets and we would like to support the families who are looking after other people’s children.

“If there is anyone in the community or company who are willing to make a donation, we would be so grateful.”

Vanessa said they are also in need of foster parents.

“There’s always a need for foster parents and we would like to encourage people to become foster parents. It’s always rewarding to make a difference in a child’s life.

Anybody who would like to make a donation or are willing to assist in any way may contact Vanessa on 011 074 5028.
