GSC calls upon sporting codes to re-elect committees
The GSC is a macro body responsible for the coordination and monitoring of various sport federations in Ekurhuleni.

The Gauteng Sports Confederation (GSC) is on a campaign to form and revive local and regional sport confederations in Ekurhuleni.
All 20 local sport confederations, popularly known as the customer care centres (CCC) and regional sport confederations (A, B, C,D, E and F), are urged to ready themselves for the revival and formalisation on July 27 at the Faranani Community Hall in Tsakane.
Ulimately, the Ekurhuleni District Sport Confederation will have its elective conference in August and September.
Areas that have not been formed need to get themselves together via their respective local sporting codes to organise themselves through their allocated officials from the Ekurhuleni Sport Confederation.
These areas are also required to adopt draft constitutions and then elect their local sport confederation executive committees.
They include: Boksburg, Benoni, Brakpan, Daveyton, Edenvale, Etwatwa, Nigel, Kempton Park, Tembisa 1 and 2.
Ten other local sport confederations are already formed and are waiting for the aforementioned areas to do likewise so everyone can come together to form the regional sport confederations.
The 10 formed confederations appeal to all sport codes/clubs in the above-mentioned areas to come forward and assist the campaign to become a success.
For more information all sporting codes and clubs can contact GSC secretary general Benny Mphahlele on 084 300 9958 (calls and WhatsApp).
