Academy dedicated to development of soccer in community
The academy, based in Delmore, exists to give players from the surrounding areas and informal settlement an opportunity to develop their talent and to encourage young soccer enthusiasts to become professional football players.
Taks Football Academy, named after the founder’s nickname, is a fully incorporated non-profit soccer academy with the sole purpose of fostering the development of high-performance soccer in the community.
Founder of the academy, Anthony ‘Taks’ Johnson, believes that coaching must be done with professionalism, enthusiasm and personality.
In 2018, the academy achieved great success among the juniors in the Shapiro Cup.
Taks holds the following coaching qualifications: CAF B, KNVB coaching licence (Holland), SAFA Introductory Certificate and SAFA Level 1 Certificate.
