Some of the invited guest speakers that have addressed the businesswomen on various topics over the last year include Lt Gen Mike van Aardt, Dawie Roodt, Prof Ansie Harding, Gert Oosthuizen and many more.

The East Rand Business Women (ERBW) organisers this year went to extreme lengths in making their end of the year function memorable and unforgettable.

The gala breakfast was attended by 20 men and 189 women dressed in denim mixed with diamonds at Summer Place on November 17.

To top things off, prominent Afrikaans singer Steve Hofmeyr serenaded women with his much-loved music.

Some of the songs he performed were Pampoen, Sweet Caroline, Story of My Live.

ERBW chairperson Antoinette Swanepoel thanked her hard-working committee for their spectacular contributions towards making the monthly meetings successful.

“This year has been amazing with all the support we have received from our members and excellent service we received from the staff at Summer Place.

“We also supported two organisation, the Wetnose Animal Rescue Centre and Lorna Kruger Feeding Scheme.

“We thank the Advertiser for always being at our meetings. We have received so much response from the public after seeing the articles,” Swanepoel said.

Guests had the opportunity to network and fellowship with one another over breakfast.

After the function, guests could take a picture with the main man, Hofmeyr.
