Sector Three CPF relaunched in bid to fight crime

Parkdene CPF chairperson Adriaan Schroeder encouraged residents to be the eyes and ears of the police otherwise “we are going to fall victim to crime”.

Community members from Parkdene, Libradene, Parkrand, Cinderella, Farrar Park, came in large numbers to witness the relaunch of Sector Three CPF on October 6.

The meeting took place at the premises of the Boksburg Roundtable located on corner Lancaster and Waterson roads in Parkdene.

The Boksburg SAPS, in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Community Safety, CPF, EMPD, local security companies and other stakeholders, encouraged the residents to work hand in hand with the police to fight crime.

The relaunch comes after the previous Sector Three CPF structure was disbanded due to “lack of participation and support” by members of the communities.

Vuyokazi Notshota from the Gauteng Department of Community Safety said their role as the department is to ensure that there’s a relationship between the police and the community.

Melisandi Schroeder and Adrian Troskie were crowned Little Mister and Miss CPF.

The new committee will be elected at the premises of the Boksburg Roundtable in Parkdene on November 27at 9am.
